Wellness Exams Great Falls MT

Wellness Exams

Regular checkups or wellness exams are the cornerstone of your pet’s healthcare plan. It is recommended that your dog or cat visit the veterinarian at least once a year to help monitor their health and overall wellbeing. During their exam we will perform a nose-to-tail physical exam which checks the following:

Weight
Breathing
Joints
Anxiety levels
Eyes

Nose
Ears
Heart
Lungs

Teeth and mouth
Skin
Lymph nodes
Mucous membranes

During the exam, we will also address any questions or concerns you have about your pet’s health and wellbeing. If you pet has been acting differently than normal or you believe they are suffering from any issues, please let us know. Our goal is to help your pet live a happy and healthy life.

Vaccinations

Vaccines are essential for protecting your pet from diseases, fleas, ticks, worms and other threats. We will administer the core vaccines required for every pet and work with you to determine which optional vaccines meet your pet’s individual needs. By developing a personalized vaccine schedule, we are better able to help your pet live a long, healthy life.

Sick Care

Helping you keep your pet happy and healthy is our top priority. We are here and ready to help if your pet is injured or ill. Using the latest diagnostic techniques and technology, we will efficiently diagnose what is ailing your pet and help them get on the road to better health.

X-Rays

An important diagnostic tool in veterinary care is radiology or x-rays. We use x-rays to see your pet’s organs and bones and detect any defects, abnormalities, or signs of disease. This procedure is painless and noninvasive and your dog or cat is exposed to a minimal amount of radiation.

Microchipping

In the event your pet escapes or gets lost, a microchip can provide you with a way to bring your pet back home. The microchip is no bigger than a grain of rice and contains your contact information. If your dog or cat is found, the microchip will be scanned to reveal their ID number, which will uncover your information. The insertion process is quick, easy, and very safe. Pets of any age can be microchipped.

End-of-Life Care

There is no denying that our pets have a way of inevitably weaving themselves into the fabric of our lives. For many of us, our dogs or cats are more than just pets — they are family. This can make saying goodbye especially hard.

We realize this is a difficult time for any family, so we work to provide you with the support you need. We will carefully examine your pet and discuss quality-of-life issues. Our staff is here to help you make the decision that is best for your pet. We will be here for you through every step of the process, and will work to make sure you and your pet are as comfortable as possible.
